I just bought a tub of coconut oil, and I realized that I have no idea how to use it. The directions say to leave it in wet hair a while and then wash it out with shampoo, but do you condition after you wash it out, or is the coconut oil enough?

im getting my hair cut tomorow (eek) and ill show before and after pictures at that point (as i'll likely want input:)). i tried the coconut oil already, and it worked nicely (i just put some in damp hair after my shower, along with significantly less of my usual styling product) and it did a nice job. my hair wasn't as puffy as usual, but still ( Read more... )

of all the advice ive been getting, the one constant has been coconut oil. so i bought a jar. but its all solid, sort of like butter. how do i apply it to my hair? do i warm it up first (the guy at the store says to keep it in the 'fridge)? and how often should i apply it? and do i rinse it out or not? and should i use it on dry or wet hair, or ( Read more... )
